Front Desk Administrator
NEIGHBORHOOD FAMILY CLINICS is looking for a Front Desk Administrator for our La Crosse, West Salem & Viroqua clinics.
We are looking for a Front Desk Administrator to be part of the healthcare team, and work on the patient services and administrative aspects of the clinic. The Front Desk Administrator will assist in meeting the individual and age-specific needs of patients and families in a clerical and customer-service manner.
Personal qualifications include being dependable, compassionate, professional, able to work well with members of the health care team/patients/families and provide safe direct patient care. Very important addition: ability to handle sensitive HIPAA material and financial transactions in a professional and upfront manner.
Physical requirements: ability to be on their feet and moving around for most of the day, ability to speak clearly with positive tones to patients and staff, utilize computers, phones and office equipment as the tasks require.
Additional requirements: Front Desk Administrator should have successfully completed a high school education or equivalent, possess excellent communication (oral and written) and multi-tasking skills. Proficient in typing, spelling, and computer phone skills, and navigation/charting in the
electronic health record.
Job specifics: All work is in-person in a clinic setting. La Crosse clinic offers various shifts
available: 7am-1pm, 12pm-6pm Monday-Friday. Rotating some Saturdays between 7am-1pm.
(Saturday bonus pay). There are day shifts (between 6:45am- 4:30pm shifts in Onalaska, West
Salem and Sparta.
Part-time option: 18-30 hours per week. Starting pay $19.00 based on experience.
Full-time option: 32-40 hours per week. Starting pay $19.00 based on experience.
Starting wages are based on experience.
In your position, your responsibilities include greeting patients, checking them in and out, answering questions, working with faxes, phones and computers to ensure all patient data is accurate. Additionally, you will be asked to assist patients and staff in an administrative way, and offer team support.
Additional administrative tasks may include billing, scheduling appointments, scanning and uploading documents, organizing supplies, working with medical staff in an administrative manner to effectively provide a positive experience for the patients. .
